New Fiction in March/April 2023

Our shelves are always packed to bursting with new fiction titles, and March and April are no exception. We’ll be hosting exciting events for Eleanor Catton’s Birnam Wood (which Events Manager Euan loves), Leila Aboulela’s River Spirit, Doug Johnstone’s The Space Between Us, Max Porter’s Shy (a favourite of Cecilie’s, our Website Coordinator), Angie Spoto’s The Grief Nurse, and Alice Slater’s Death of a Bookseller. Our booksellers are also hard to keep quiet about new releases: Senior Bookseller Marc is keen to read Alba de Céspedes’s Forbidden Notebook, Mário de Andrade’s Macunaíma, and Wang Xiaobo’s The Golden Age. Several, including Events Coordinator Molly and our in-house social media expert Kira, have read Han Kang’s Greek Lessons.
