This gold-foiled, cloth-bound slipcase is designed with the beauty and style of the 1920s, when the four original books written by A.A.Milne and decorated by E.H.Shepard first published to great acclaim.

The facsimile editions of Winnie-the-Pooh, The House at Pooh Corner, When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six are reproductions of the first editions featuring E.H. Shepard’s stunning black line artwork. The gold-foiled, cloth-bound books include all printer marks and irregularities that were present in the first editions, which originally printed between 1924 and 1928. They are fully gilded and are bound with ribbon bookmarks. The books are presented in a highly collectable stylishly designed gold-foiled cloth-bound slipcase that showcases Shepard's most iconic images.

The books are all the more special due to E.H.Shepard’s decorations, which are shown in their original black line glory. They are truly iconic and contributed to Shepard being known as ‘the man who drew Pooh’.

This unique set includes a special art portfolio containing three favourite Shepard images. They convey the skill and beauty of his art at the sketch, black line and final colour art stages. The prints are presented in the portfolio with a numbered limited edition certificate of authenticity.

And if all that is not enough, this set also includes a gorgeous fold-out...

Original reviews of Milne and Shepards Story and Poetry Collections from the 1920s:

“… a book that children will adore, and that their elders will … read zestfully to the very end.”, Aberdeen Press, 1926 about Winnie-the-Pooh

“I prophesy that Mr. Milne’s latest book of verses, ‘Now We Are Six,’ will appeal to grown-ups as much as to the public for whom it is primarily intended.”, Daily Express, 1927

“Milne has the same happy genius that Lewis Carrol had”, Dundee Courier, 1926, about Winnie-the-Pooh

“No one tells stories quite like Mr Milne”, Dundee Courier, 1026 about Winnie-the-Pooh

“To children it is something more than a volume, it is a treasure trove – richer in value than Aladdin’s Cave or any sunken Spanish galleon that ever carried gold from Peru. In literature it ranks with the highest and the greatest. It is a classic!”, Northern Weekly Gazette 1926, about When We Were Very Young

“Written with a lively fancy and a delicate literary sense, these adventures are sure of a warm welcome in the nursery.”, Scotsman’s, 1926, about Winnie-the-Pooh

“‘Winnie-the-Pooh’ … in which Mr. A. A. Milne has made himself the humble chronicler, and Mr. E. H. Shepard the understanding illustrator, of the adventures of Christopher Robin and his teddy bear, is the ideal gift book.”, Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 1926,

“Dialogue and situations such as these must have been as delightful to invent as they are delightful to read. And to have one’s fancies so delicately caught by the artistry of Mr. E. H. Shepard – that must have been another delight, which does not come to every author.”, Sketch, 1927, about Winnie-the-Pooh

“‘The House at Pooh Corner’ marks the culmination of one of the outstanding book successes of this generation.”, Sunday Express, 1928,

“that ideal collaboration between Mr. Milne and Mr. Shepard”, The Daily News, 1928 about The House at Pooh Corner

“will delight thousands of children, yes, and grown-ups too.’, Yorkshire Post, 1928, about Winnie-the-Pooh
