Church of the Empire

As consciousness around racial justice increases, and questions around the Church of England’s response continue, the church is discovering that this is not a one-dimensional issue, but requires the engagement of multiple disciplines and lenses. Church of the Empire offers a kaleidoscope of perspectives brought together to consider how a racial justice lens sheds new light on the life and theology of the Church of England. Contributors including Anthony Reddie, Mike Higton, Malcolm Brown and Stephen Cottrell consider how racial justice might influence how we think about everything from the leadership and governance of the church to the shape of vocation and formation, and from the role of pioneer ministries to the function of the parish.
