In Bloody Rose, Tam Hashford seeks adventure with a legendary mercenary band, leading to a quest filled with humor, danger, and unexpected challenges.

Set in a vibrant fantasy world, Bloody Rose follows Tam Hashford, a young woman yearning for adventure beyond her mundane life in a sleepy pub. Tired of serving drinks and listening to tales of glory sung by bards, Tam seizes the opportunity when the legendary mercenary band, led by the fierce Bloody Rose, arrives in her town. With dreams of becoming a bard for the mercenaries, she embarks on a perilous quest that promises either fame or demise.

As the story unfolds, readers are treated to a rich tapestry of humor, heart, and action. Bloody Rose not only builds on the foundation laid by the acclaimed Kings of the Wyld, but it also introduces new characters and challenges that deepen the narrative. With the stakes raised, Tam and her companions must navigate a world filled with danger, camaraderie, and the unpredictable nature of adventure.

The novel captures the essence of classic fantasy while infusing it with a modern twist, making it a fresh and engaging read. Eames's storytelling shines through with a unique voice that resonates with both humor and emotion, ensuring that Bloody Rose is not just a sequel, but a standalone tale that captivates the imagination and keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

[Eames] writes the kind of fantasy that is both immensely satisfying and deeply human . . . Kings of the Wyld was fun, but Bloody Rose is gods-damned epic . . . one of the best books of the year
I laughed and wept and worried a lot and had the most tremendous time reading Bloody Rose. Eames is a gifted and entertaining storyteller
Bloody Rose is bloody brilliant! It is a book that will make you remember why you fell in love with reading in the first place . . . proves without a shadow of a doubt that Nicholas Eames is one of the best in the new generation of modern fantasy writers
Exceeded my already high expectations
I was a big fan of Kings of the Wyld, but I think Bloody Rose has actually topped it. Eames once again hits the perfect balance of humor and heart, irreverent references and real emotion. The characters are great, the adventure is epic, and he's slowly deepening the worldbuilding in a way that has me eager for more
Eames joyfully mashes rock music elements and epic fantasy tropes to create the equivalent of a 500-page heavy-metal guitar solo: loud, frenetic, unpredictable, and gripping . . . [A] glorious romp worthy of multiple encores
This is one f*cking great read . . . easily one of my favourite novels of the past few years
Delivered on every level possible, and then some . . . Once again, Eames' writing simply shines . . . I seriously cannot wait to see what adventures Eames has in store for his characters next
A heartfelt read, with a beautiful world and a cast I deeply connected with. Eames' narrative voice is one of the best in this generation of fantasy authors, and I cannot wait to read everything else he puts out
Kings of the Wyld is a joy and Bloody Rose is just as good. Exciting, entertaining and a hell of a lot of fun . . . I loved every page
A power-chord fantasy overflowing with attitude
Eames is the one to watch who will end up in Rothfuss, Lynch, Martin territory for excellence
One of the best sequels of all time . . . this is a must read with an infinite exclamation mark! -- Petrik Leo, NOVEL NOTIONS
