The cases are rooted in Black feminist thought and practice to disrupt mainstream economics and to prioritize people's politicized organizing to amplify cooperative development. In acknowledging the value of self-managed membership institutions, the authors stem the effects of racial capitalism and advocate for a culture of belonging and economic democracy in our world.
