Calcium isotopes can be used as a geochemical tracer to quantify rates of carbonate diagenesis in marine sedimentary systems.
Precise measurements of the calcium (Ca) isotopes have provided constraints on Ca cycling at global and local scales, and quantified rates of carbonate diagenesis in marine sedimentary systems.
