But this governance was already contested and the world economy, the contributors argue, is in crisis. The chapters in this collection address the question of whether and how the 'imperial turn' taken by the US and Britain has affected the 'governance' structures of the global political economy in the areas of world economy, property relations, corporate social responsibility, migration, and security.
