Following the discovery of the lost manuscript, Catacombs of Terror by Radiohead artist Stanley Donwood is being published by the Scratter & Pomace imprint of Tangent Books. Catacombs of Terror was written by Donwood for a GBP5 bet that he could write a 50,000-word pulp fiction novel in 30 days. Donwood won the bet and a limited-edition of 1,000 books was published by Hedonist in 2002. Donwood then updated the story with hand-written notes, but the manuscript was thought lost until it came into the possession of Tangent Books. Catacombs of Terror is set in Donwood's home town of Bath. It's a pulp-fiction novel starring private eye Martin Valpolicella who is drawn into a dark underworld of subterranean terror involving drugs, guns and pigs.
