When Benedikt Bösel took over his family’s 3,000-hectare farm and forest estate in Brandenburg, Germany, he set out to prove that regenerative, multifunctional land use isn't just possible – it’s essential. Through a bold mix of forestry, research, cows and compost, agroforestry and agriculture, he and his team are working to restore broken nutrient cycles, build climate resilience and reimagine how we use the land.

Driven by curiosity and courage, Benedikt built a team of talented, energetic and innovative doers, in order to explore whats possible in one of Germanys driest areas. Along the way, he drew inspiration from both pioneering innovators and time-honoured traditions that all shared the same truth: it all begins with soil.
