Xin is a war orphan in a poor village in the kingdom of Qin. He has big dreams of becoming the Greatest General Under the Heavens, and when his best friend’s life is cut short by political machinations, Xin finds himself on a quest to do what no one has ever done before—unify China.

Qin’s Minister of the Right, Lü Buwei, finally reveals himself and the massive support he has garnered over the years. All he has to do to claim the throne for himself is eliminate the king, Ying Zheng. As Lü Buwei’s conspiracies against Ying Zheng unfold, Xin takes it upon himself to get even stronger in order to protect his friend. But will Xin be able to find someone within the kingdom of Qin who can help him face off against Lü Buwei when his enemy controls most of the kingdom already?
