Silent Song

Claudia Hans develops this book from "Songs for my Grandmother", written in 1945, the year the Second World War ended. The book consists of a series of illustrations and verses that narrate the childhood and past experiences of the author Agnes Louise Dean. Silent Songs is the intervention into these texts and illustrations by Claudia, transforming it into a current book, narrating simultaneously the life of her own grandmother, and the wider events of the Holocaust.
