Assigned to cover a routine matter, Smith’s transcripts grew increasingly erratic and fragmented, with a final entry ending mid-sentence. No trace of the reporter has surfaced since. Whether A. Smith is that reporter, or someone who inherited these transcripts, is a legitimate subject for debate.
