Abhisek Ghosal currently works at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Jharkhand. He previously worked as full-time Assistant Professor at O.P. Jindal Global University (Institute of Eminence), Sonipat, Haryana and at Christ (Deemed to be University), BGR Campus, Bengaluru. He holds M.A., M.Phil. and Ph. D (IIT Kharagpur) to his credits. His broad areas of research interest include Deleuze and Guattari Studies, Blue Humanities, South Asian Literature, Indic Studies, and Energy Humanities, among others. He has published articles in different leading academic journals like Symploke, New Global Studies, The CEA Critic, Southeast Asian Review of English, e-Tropics, and to name only a few. He has recently got an article published in The Monarch and the (Non)-Human in Literature and Cinema: Western and Global Perspectives (Routledge). Another article is also published in The Routledge Companion to Humanism and Literature. He has got one more article accepted to be published in the upcoming edited volume titled Nation and Nationalism in South Asian Literature (Routledge). He has recently published a monograph titled Plasti(e)cological Thinking: Working out an (Infra)structural Geoerotics (2023). His forthcoming monograph on Plant Humanities has got accepted to be published by Lexington books, an imprint of Rowman and Littlefield.
