Alfonso Reyes Ochoa (1889-1959) was a Mexican writer, philosopher and diplomat. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature five times. Timothy Adès is a poet and translator, tending to work with rhyme and metre. As a translator, he works mainly with French, German and Spanish rhymed poems, and his bibliography includes work by Victor Hugo, Jean Cassou, Alberto Arvelo Torrealba and Robert Desnos.
