Aubrey Levinthal Author

Aubrey Levinthal (b.1986) is a painter born and based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She gained her BA from the Pennsylvania State University in 2008 and an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2011. Her work was recently shown at the ICA, Boston, in A Place for Me: Figurative Painting Now, and at the Flag Foundation, New York. Jennifer Higgie is a London-based writer and former editor of frieze. Her recent books include The Other Side: A Story of Women, Art and the Spirit World (2023) and The Mirror and the Palette: Rebellion, Revolution and Resilience: 500 Years of women’s self-portraits (2021). She hosts the National Gallery of Australia’s podcast, Artists’ Artists. Hettie Judah is a writer and curator who contributes regularly to newspapers and art magazines in the UK and internationally. She is curator of the 2024/25 Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood and author of the standalone book of the same title published by Thames & Hudson
