A space cadet practically from birth, Kirby Runyon has pursued the answer to the question, “What is it like in space?” his whole life. He followed that passion to Johns Hopkins University, earning a PhD in planetary geology, and now works as a research scientist at the NASA-funded Planetary Science Institute (psi.edu) and runs his educational space tourism company, Planetary Experience Consulting LLC (planex.space). Originally from Michigan, he is married and lives in Washington, DC. Chris Clews is a keynote speaker, ‘80s pop culture guy and 3x author of the book series The Ultimate Series on Essential Work & Life Lessons from ‘80s Pop Culture. He’s been referenced and interviewed in Newsweek, USA Today Entrepreneur.com, and Esquire UK as well as FOX, NBC, CBS and more. He’s also been a moderator for ‘80s pop culture panels including reunions for The Goonies cast and the original MTV VJ’s. He lives in Florida with his rescue dog Bodhi and spends his free time practicing martial arts, volunteering for animal rescues and at the beach.
