Manjaiah M is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, India, where he specializes in Welding and Additive Manufacturing. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Karnataka, Surathkal, in 2015, and has since distinguished himself through 3.5 years of postdoctoral research at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and the prestigious Ecole Centrale de Nantes-CNRS laboratory in France. A prolific researcher, Dr. Manjaiah has published 63 highly regarded journal articles and 10 book chapters, and is the editor of a reference book. His expertise in 3D printing technologies and advanced materials processing has earned him recognition as an Associate Member of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), joining India’s most distinguished engineers and technologists. At NIT Warangal, he serves as the overall coordinator of M.Tech Additive Manufacturing programs in the Mechanical Engineering Department, where he continues to guide doctoral students and advance the field of additive manufacturing through research, education, and training programs.

Clodualdo Aranas Jr. is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada, where he also serves as Director of the Alloy Design and Materials Testing Research Laboratory (AD-MTRL). His major research contribution lies in understanding dynamic phase transformation in steels during thermomechanical processing, for which he developed a groundbreaking thermodynamic model to predict the high-temperature mechanical behavior of steels. Dr. Aranas’s research expertise spans alloy development, additive manufacturing of metallic materials, high-speed deformation testing (including dynamic, subsonic, supersonic, and hypervelocity testing), and thermomechanical processing of both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. He is currently designing and developing the next generation of energy-efficient advanced high-strength materials.
