Dr Darcy W E Allen (Twitter: @DrDarcyAllen) is a Research Fellow at the RMIT Blockchain Innovation Hub. He is an economist and writer working on the economics of new technologies. Dr Allen has published journal articles across popular economics and law journals including Research Policy and Harvard Negotiation Law Review. His recent books include: Cryptodemocracy: How Blockchain Can Radically Expand Democratic Choice (Lexington Books, 2019) and Unfreeze: How to Create a High Growth Economy After the Pandemic (American Institute for Economic Research, 2020). Dr Allen has appeared as an expert witness before Australian national and state parliamentary inquiries, his commentary and writing has appeared widely across the electronic and print media, and he sits on the editorial board of several blockchain journals.
