Akanksha Srivastava, PhD, is an experienced academician, writer, and editor with over 15 years in the education industry. She is currently working as an Associate Professor with The School of Education, Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. She has worked on a variety of projects, including nonfiction books, academic articles, and technical reports. In addition to her work as an editor, she is also an accomplished author. Her research interests include the intersection of inclusion with a focus on women’s experiences, on which she has published extensively. As the editor of this volume, Dr. Srivastava brought together a diverse group of scholars to explore the various themes and topics related to the history of gender and sexuality in Europe, Asia, Africa, and USA. Dr. Srivastava holds a doctoral degree in Education and a master‘s degree in English and Anthropology.
Disha Maheshwari, PhD, is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Education, Sharda University, India. She was a Commonwealth Scholar at the Centre for Applied Linguistics, University of Warwick, Coventry, England. At Sharda University, she teaches courses on gender studies, communication, and research methodology in education (qualitative) at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and on pedagogy at the PhD level. She has presented her research work around the world, including at Cambridge, Stockholm, Hong Kong, Warwick, Oslo (virtual), Tamilnadu, Punjab, etc. Her areas of interest are gender and education, discourse and identity, and higher education pedagogy. She worked as a research assistant on the project "ELT Survey of India" from February 2016–May 2016 at the University of Warwick, UK, funded by the British Council. She also worked as a project associate on the project "Children and Teachers as Co-Researchers: Exploring Young Learner Classrooms in India," funded by the Rand D Project Grant, University of Delhi, India. She was awarded her PhD in Education from the University of Delhi, India.
Chitra Krishnan, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Behavioral Science at the Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Noida, India. She is a teaching professional with over 16 years of national and international experience. She possesses excellence in teaching and research. Before her academic career, she worked in industry in various positions of responsibility. She has been actively involved in rigorous academic pursuits in the field of higher professional education to enhance skill sets that promote the holistic development of learners. She has a number of publications in acclaimed journals at the national and international levels and has also participated in many national and international conferences. She is passionate about writing and has seven books to her credit with international publishers. She has been impaneled as a member of the review committees for conferences and journals of repute. Her area of interest includes human resource management, organizational behavior, talent management, diversity management, employee satisfaction, knowledge management, artificial intelligence, and emotional intelligence.
