Dr Sara Caputo Author

Dr Sara Caputo is a Senior Research Fellow at Magdalene College, Cambridge. A specialist in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century maritime history, she is the winner of the Prince Consort and Thirwell Prize, as well as the Boydell and Brewer Prize for her research on the Royal Navy. She has been a Visiting Fellow in Germany, California and at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. She lives and works in Cambridge. Tracks on the Ocean was awarded the Ideas Prize for non-fiction.
