Eileen Browne Author & Illustrator

Eileen Browne worked as a schoolteacher and a youth worker before becoming an author and illustrator. Her titles include Handa's Surprise, which was shortlisted for the 1995 Sheffield Children's Book Award, Handa's Hen and Tick Tock. Her book, Through My Window, written with Tony Bradman and published in 1986, was the first ever picture book in Britain to feature a child with a black mother and white father. She lives in Wiltshire.

Emily Bolam was born in Buckinghamshire in 1969. She studied at Amersham college and Brighton College of Art. Emily has illustrated over a hundred books for children, by many different authors, including Georgie Adams, Vivian French and Francesca Simon. She continues to live and work in Brighton.
