Enrique Norten, born in Mexico City in 1954, studied architecture in Iberoamericana University and holds a Master in Architecture from Cornell University. In 1986, he founded TEN Arquitectos in Mexico City and in 2000 opened a second office in New York City. He has lectured at Yale University, UCLA, University of Michigan, Cornell University, Pratt Institute, and Harvard University. Among his many awards are the Emerging Voices award from the Architectural League of New York, Mies van der Rohe Prize of Latin American Architecture, Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts from the World Cultural Council, Careers 2014 award from the College of Architects of Mexico City, José Limón Contemporary Dance National Prize, and 2015 Richard J. Neutra Medal for Professional Excellence.
