Kerwin Rakness received his bachelor and master degrees in Sanitary Engineering from South Dakota State University. He was a partner in Process Applications, Inc., a consulting firm in the field of water treatment and was known worldwide for his expertise in the technology and use of ozone disinfection of drinking water.
Glenn F. Hunter is a principal at Process Applications, Inc. in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mr. Hunter received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine in 1978 and is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Maine. He has worked extensively with ozone process startup, training, evaluation, performance testing, control strategies, and optimization at over seventy water and wastewater treatment facilities. Mr. Hunter has authored and co-authored several ozone related papers and publications.
Eric C. Wert is a Project Manager within the Water Quality Research and Development group at the Southern Nevada Water Authority and has served as the President of the International Ozone Association – Pan American Group (2018-19). Dr. Wert received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University and M.E. in Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Wert is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada. He has worked extensively with ozone at bench-, pilot-, and full-scale to evaluate ozone design, operation, and optimization. Dr. Wert has served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on several Water Research Foundation projects (2758, 4159, 4406, 4555, 4559, 4588, 4692, 4719, 4912, 5035), and has authored over 35 peer reviewed publications.
