Eric J. Holcomb, Indiana's 51st governor, is a lifelong Hoosier who served in the US Navy at home and abroad. Serving two terms as governor, he achieved historic economic growth while cutting taxes and reducing state debt. Holcomb spearheaded major infrastructure projects, including historic roads, trails, broadband, and new housing programs. His education and workforce initiatives boosted teacher salaries, expanded job training, and aligned education with industry needs. He led a transformation of Indiana's public health system, increasing funding by 1,500 percent for local health departments.
