Giulia Damiani is a performance-maker and researcher based in Amsterdam and London. Her work creates provocative performative situations, often starting from a sound investigation, posing urgent questions about violence, language, and a mythical and ecological territory. Her latest work Heart Brake was shown internationally and at Frascati (Amsterdam) in December 2025. She holds a practice-based PhD from Goldsmiths University for which she wrote about Le Nemesiache’s feminist collective and created performances inspired by their work. Co-founded in 1970 by the multidisciplinary and visionary artist and writer Lina Mangiacapre, Le Nemesiache is a collective of feminist and pacifist artists. Their experimental artistic practice is rooted in feminism, mythology and radical imagination.
