Gregory Widen Author

Gregory Widen was still an undergrad film student at UCLA when he sold his script for Highlander. The film starring Christopher Lambert, Clancy Brown, and Sean Connery went on to became a much-loved pop culture phenomenon. Widen also wrote the Academy Award nominated 1991 film Backdraft which was directed by Ron Howard and starred Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Scott Glenn, Donald Sutherland, and Robert De Niro. Released in 1991, Backdraft received three nominations. Widen also wrote and directed the cult classic movie The Prophecy starring Christopher Walken.
