M.G. Jayathangaraj, published more than 140 research papers in reputed journals related to the field of both wildlife and domestic animal medicine. Guidance was offered for completion of 27M.V.Sc. degree programmes and 3 Ph.D. research programmes in the field of wildlife science and has received the 'Professional Excellence Award' for the outstanding contribution in Wildlife Veterinary Science Education' during the International Congress on Advances in Zoo and Wild Animals Health and Management' at Jammu, India on 26th April, 2007. Completed the Post graduate diploma in wildlife management (9 months duration) at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and was recognised as a 'Top Trainee' in this course. Received the Dr. R. Swaminatha Iyer Memorial Prize by Indian Veterinary Journal in the year 1995 for the best clinical article published in the year 1995 and the Professional Excellence Award from AIZ & WV (Association of Indian Zoo & Wildlife Veterinarians) in the year 2008. More than 100 nos. of special assessments and committee works were carried out successfully and as nominee of Central Zoo Authority of India, inspected many zoos, zoological parks etc. As Chairman of Advisory Committee, guided 7 nos. of students for the Post Graduate Diploma in Wild Animal Disease Management. As an Organizing Secretary, conducted an International Conference on 'Wildlife Conservation, health and disease management - A Post Millennium Approach' at Madras Veterinary College, Chennai from 03.02.2010 to 05.02.2010. Served as Principal investigator in a project entitled 'Development of an Indian Cooperative Wildlife Health Programme and Technical Assistance in Wildlife Institute of Indias health project', funded by Wildlife Institute of India in collaboration with US Fish & Wildlife Services from Sept.1995 to Sept. 2001 and in a project entitled 'Retrospective survey of diseases in free ranging a captive wild animals', funded by Wildlife Institute of India, from April 2000 to Nov. 2000 and in a project entitled 'Strengthening of Madras Veterinary College as Nodal Centre of Wildlife Health and Disease Diagnosis', funded by Central Zoo Authority of India from July, 2002 to March, 2007 and in a project entitled 'Health cover to captive wild animals (Prolifically breeding wild animals) maintained at Arignar Anna Zoological Park', funded by Arignar Anna Zoological Park from 17th October, 2007 to 17th October, 2010. He is one of the Recipients of The Murray Fowler International Conference Scholarship in the year 2015. Participated in the Joint Conference of the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, the Wildlife Disease Association and the American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians in East Lansing, USA from 12-8-95 to 17-8-95. Currently serving as Professor and Head, Dept. of Veterinary Clinical Complex, CoVSc.& AH, Jalukie, CAU.

Gunjan Das, graduated from College of Veterinary Sciences and A.H, Khanapara, Guwahati in 1999 and later on obtainedM.V.Scdegree in Veterinary Medicine in 2002 from West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences, Kolkata and awarded Ph.D in 2007 from prestigious Indian Veterinary Research Institute. He worked as RA (ICMR) in CDC Atlanta project before joining Ph.D programme for a brief period. During his Internship period he has undergone 1 month training at Assam Zoo and got hands on exposure to zoo and wild animal health management and also visited several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks of Assam and other states. He Served as Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir, Shuhama, Srinagar for nearly 2 years (2004-2006) and then joined Central Agricultural University as Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural University, Selesih, Aizawl, Mizoram (2006-2009). On 2009 October he was selected as Associate professor in the same establishment. Have Experience of over 18 years in the field of Veterinary medicine (Teaching, Research and Extension), have guided 5M.V.ScStudents as Major Advisor (Veterinary Clinical Medicine) and acted as Co-guide for sixteenM.V.Sc. Students. He has also guided two Ph.D. students as Co-guide. He has handled 3 DBT-funded project as PI and associated with 3 DBT-funded and one ICAR-funded projects as Co-PI. Published more than 80 research papers in national and international peer reviewed journal. Published an article on Conservation of wildlife resources of India in Livestock International. Attended advance Short Training course (21 days) on 'Newer concepts and techniques in molecular and patho-anatomical diagnosis of farm animals, poultry, wildlife and laboratory animal diseases' Organized by Division of Pathology, IVRI, Izatnagar, U.P., from 01-10-2010 to 21-10-2010. Got Best Poster presentation award Under the Theme 'Environment and Wildlife Health' and Session-3 at XVII Annual Conference of Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health Specialists (IAVPHS) on 'One Health Concept: Opportunities and Perspectives in Present Scenario' held at GADVASU, Ludhiana, Punjab, India, during 28th to 29th May 2021. Taught courses on Zoo/Wild Animal breeding, management, nutrition and health care VMD-512 (1+1=2) and recently teaching Zoo and Wild Animal Medicine Unit III (4+1) and also prepared Practical manual for the same. Presently working as Professor & Head, Department of Veterinary, College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural University, Jalukie, Peren, Nagaland.
