Dr. G. Arthanareeswaran is Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India. He holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology and completed his M.Tech. and Ph.D. at Anna University, India. With a strong academic and research background, his expertise lies in membrane science and technology, particularly in nanocomposite and mixed matrix membranes for water purification, desalination, and energy systems. He has authored 220 peer-reviewed publications, books, and book chapters in reputed international outlets. His work emphasizes the design and fabrication of nanocomposite and mixed matrix membranes to enhance ion selectivity, conductivity, and durability, contributing to sustainable solutions in environmental engineering and industrial separation technologies. He is the recipient of prestigious international awards, including the RAE (UK) Research Exchange Award, the Endeavour Executive Award (Australia), and the Brain Pool Award (South Korea), Fellow of Indian membrane society and Fellow of Indian Desalination Association and , reflecting his global research excellence and contributions to membrane science and engineering.
Pei Sean Goh is an associate professor in the School of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She received her Ph.D. in gas engineering at UTM. Pei Sean is also a research fellow of the Advanced Membrane Technology Research Centre (AMTEC), UTM, and the head of the Nanostructured Materials Research Group at UTM. Her research interests focus on the synthesis of a wide range of nanostructured materials and their polymer-based composites for membrane-based separation rocesses. Her research mainly focuses on the application of carbon-based nanomaterials and polymeric nanocomposite membranes for acidic gas removal, desalination, and wastewater treatment. Pei Sean is the winner of L’Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science Malaysia 2020 and The Outstanding Young Chemist Award 2025 of Malaysia Institute of Chemistry.
Hemanth Kumar. K is pursuing his PhD in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He completed his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Anna University, India, in 2022. He completed his postgraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Anna University, India, in 2024. Later, he joined the PhD program in July 2024 under the guidance of Prof. Dr G. Arthanareeswaran, Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India. Currently, he is working in the research area of membranes for energy and environmental applications. He is the recipient of the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Young Research Fellowship for the year 2025. He has authored nine referred journal publications in highly reputed international peer-reviewed journals.
