Iakov Iskhakov Author

Iakov Iskhakov has a MSc in Civil Engineering at Moscow Civil Engineering Institute (1961) and a PhD on Reinforced Concrete Structures at Moscow Civil Engineering Institute, USSR (1996). He was a Full Professor at Dushanbe Technical University, Tajikistan, USSR (1990 – 1992). Since 2013 he has been a Full Professor at Ariel University, Israel. The main scientific activity is focused on problems related to reinforced concrete structures (including spatial structures) and seismic resistance of structures. He has authored 14 monographs and textbooks on actual problems in reinforced concrete structures, and published more than 120 papers in refereed scientific journals and presented about 100 lectures at national and international conferences.

Ilya Frolov has a MSc degree (2014) from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Belarusian National Technical University, Republic of Belarus (major "Civil Engineering"). He obtained a PhD in 2023 from Ariel University, Israel. His main scientific activity is focused on problems related to improving concrete theory, avoiding the use of empirical coefficients in design of reinforced concrete structures as well as using transverse deformations and cracks development for concrete performance analysis.

Yuri Ribakov has an ME degree (1991) from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineering at Rivne, Ukraine with first class honours. In 2001 he obtained a PhD degree from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. In 2000 he got a permanent faculty position at the Ariel University in Israel, since 2011 till 2014 and presently he is a Head of Department of Civil Engineering at this university and since 2018 till 2023 he was a Chair of Structural Engineering Division. His research interests include active, reinforced concrete structures, fibered concrete, seismic design, control of structural vibrations, etc. Prof. Ribakov has co-authored nine monographs, co-edited two books, contributed 16 chapters to edited books, published more than 210 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
