James Caporaso is Professor of Political Science at the University of Washington, author of numerous books, and editor of Comparative Political Studies. Thomas Risse is Professor of International Relations and Joint Chair of the Robert Schuman Centre and Department of Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute, Italy. His previous books include Cooperation among Democracies: The European Influence on U.S. Foreign Policy.
