Jill Duff Author

Dr Jill Duff is the Anglican Bishop of Lancaster, holding the brief for mission, evangelism and church planting across Lancashire. She is also an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of St Asaph, Church in Wales; a Trustee of New Wine, of Premier Christian Media Trust, and of Redeeming Our Communities. Previously, as founding Director of St Mellitus College North West, she taught mission, evangelism, New Testament and ecclesiology at one of the largest ordination colleges in the country. She has a first-class Theology degree from Oxford University, a DPhil in Chemistry from Oxford, and an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge. Her parish ministry was in deprived urban areas across Liverpool Diocese, and she is passionate about the gospel crossing boundaries, and enabling authentic accessible evangelism. Jill is a widely sought speaker within the Church of England and wider networks and regularly invited to contribute to ordination retreats, theological colleges, ministerial fellowships and clergy ministerial development, in dioceses across the UK, including the Church of Ireland. Before ordination, she worked in research and management in a multi-national oil company, and she has an enduring interest in the world of work and in communicating the hope of the gospel in everyday language with the aim of transforming society.
