Qilin Wang is a Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney. His research focuses on developing innovative technologies for urban water management, energy recovery from wastewater, carbon-neutral treatment, nitrogen removal, greenhouse gas mitigation, and increasing anaerobic digester capacity. Jing Ai is an Associate Professor at the National Engineering Research Center of Industrial Wastewater Detoxification and Resource Recovery, Research Centre for Eco-environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on treating and recycling organic waste solids, with key contributions in sludge dewatering, resource utilization, and understanding the transformation of organic matter in thermochemical treatment processes. Jing Sun is Professor at the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, China. Her research focuses on advancing the sustainability and resilience of urban water systems through low-carbon wastewater and sludge treatment, resource recovery, emerging contaminant management, and the control of odor and greenhouse gas emissions. Huan Liu is a Lecturer at the School of Engineering, The University of Western Australia, Australia. Her research interests are sustainable sewage and sewage sludge treatment, as well as emerging contaminants, with particular expertise in anaerobic digestion, fermentation and energy recovery.
