Joe Conzo Illustrator & Author

Joe Conzo, (New York, NY) was a close friend of Tito Puente for nearly 40 years and the chronicler of Tito Puente's music and life. He established the Tito Puente Legacy Exhibit located at Hostos Community College and maintains one of the largest recorded and nonrecorded Latin music collections, which includes works by Tito Puente and many others. Joe is a consultant on numerous Tito Puente commercial endeavors. David A. Perez is a former political and sports writer of the San Juan Star in Puerto Rico. He also worked as a journalist in Washington, D.C. He is a published author and is an historical researcher of Cuban charanga music as well as the habanera – the foundation of Cuban danzón, ragtime, Argentine tango, Puerto Rican danza, and other forms of South American, Central American, and Caribbean music.
