José Antonio Sanahuja is Professor of International Relations at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He was the director of the Carolina Foundation and special advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean to Josep Borrell, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission (ad honorem).

Roberto Dominguez is Professor of International Relations at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was a Jean Monnet fellow at the European University Institute in Florence and a Visiting Scholar at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University.
