António Gomes Correia is Emeritus Professor at the University of Minho and continues his research at the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE), University of Minho. His activities involve research, teaching, and consulting in the general field of geotechnical and transportation engineering for 45 years. He has been a keynote speaker and member of the organising/technical committees for many well-established international conferences. He is a co-founder of the International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC) as well as has founded the conference series on Transportation Geotechnics. He is also one of founding editors for the international journal "Transportation Geotechnics" (from 2014), as well as for “Transportation Engineering” (from 2020). He was also editor of the journal "Geotecnia" (from 2016-2024). He is an author/co-author of over 200 publications indexed in SCOPUS.

Alexandre Pinto is founder and technical manager of JETsj Geotecnia Lda and invited Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. His activities involve consulting and teaching in the general field of geotechnical engineering for 30 years. He is an author/co-author of 120 technical papers. He has been a keynote speaker and member of the organizing/technical committees for several conferences. He was Vice President of Portuguese Geotechnical Society from 2016 to 2020 and President from 2020 to 2024.

José Neves graduated in Civil Engineering (PhD, MSc, BSc). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is a senior research member of the Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability (CERIS), Portugal. He belonged to the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Geotechnical Society (2020-2024). He is President of the Portuguese Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (2024-2028). He is a member of the Academy of Pavement Science and Engineering (APSE), TC202 – Transportation Geotechnics (ISSMGE), and CEN/TC227/WG4 – Hydraulic bound and unbound mixtures (including byproducts and waste materials) of the European Committee for Standardization. He serves as an Associate Editor of the journal Discover Applied Sciences. The main domains of research and consultancy are pavement engineering and transportation geotechnics. He is the author/co-author of over 80 publications indexed in SCOPUS.

Eduardo Fortunato is a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from University of Porto and a Master of Science in Business Administration from University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal. He is Principal Researcher and member of the Board of Directors at National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC) and invited Full Professor at University of Porto, Portugal. He is Expert in Geotechnics and Expert in Transport and Transportation Infrastructures from the Portuguese Engineers Association. He was Vice President of Portuguese Geotechnical Society (2020-2024) and he is member of the TC202 – Transportation Geotechnics (ISSMGE). The main domains of his research and consultancy are transportation geotechnics and asset management. He is Associated Editor of Frontiers in Built Environment (Transportation and Transit Systems Section) and Sustainability (Sustainable Engineering and Science Section). He is author/co-author of over 80 publications indexed in SCOPUS.
