Ahmed Mohamed, Ph.D., is currently the Director of Solutions Engineering at Orlando Health, USA, with 25-plus years of technical and management experience in Information Technology and Healthcare. Additionally, he has been involved in teaching graduate courses at Webster University at the Orlando Campus as an adjunct instructor. He received his Ph.D. and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (IEMS). He also earned an MS degree from City College of New York in 1994 and his BS degree from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1990, all in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Mohamed holds several certifications, including PMP, CLSSBB, CSM, ITIL V3, and a Graduate Certificate for Quality Assurance. His focus is on healthcare process improvements by utilizing information technology and data analytics.

Luis Rabelo, Ph.D., was the NASA EPSCoR Agency Project Manager and is currently a Professor in the Department of IEMS at the University of Central Florida, USA. He received a joint degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from Panama and a master’s degree from the Florida Institute of Technology (1987) and the University of Missouri (1988). He received a Ph.D. in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri in 1990, where he also did post-doctoral work in Nuclear Engineering (1991). In addition, Dr. Rabelo holds a dual MS degree in Systems Engineering & Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has over 300 publications, 3 international patents, and has graduated 60 Doctoral students as advisors/co-advisors to his credit.

Juan Pablo Zamora-Aguas, M.Sc., is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in Industrial Engineering at the University of Central Florida, USA. He earned his degree in Industrial Engineering (2002) and a postgraduate degree in Engineering Project Management (2005) from the Francisco José de Caldas District University. He received his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with honors from the National University of Colombia (2014). Juan Pablo has been active in academia since 2006, holding various roles as a lecturer, part-time professor, and full-time professor. For the past 10 years, he served as a full-time professor at the University of La Salle, Colombia. He has led research projects and participated in consulting teams for government institutions in Colombia, focusing on pharmaceutical supply chain management, quality management in pharmacy service, and other areas of healthcare management using risk analysis and system dynamics.
