Julie A. Carlson is author of In the Theatre of Romanticism: Coleridge, Nationalism, Women (1994) and England's First Family of Writers: Mary Wollstonecraft, William Godwin, Mary Shelley (2007); coeditor with Elisabeth Weber of Speaking about Torture (2012); codirector of the Trauma-Informed Pedagogy initiative at UCSB; and recipient of the K-SAA Distinguished Scholar Award (2010).
