Kanica Upadhyay Author

Kanica Upadhyay did her Ph.D. (Wood science and Technology) in 2016 from Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (Himachal Pradesh). She has 6 years of experience in teaching and research field of Forestry. She has done exchange programme with Lakehead University of Natural Sc., Thunderbay, ON (Canada) during M.Sc. and explored new technologies in Canada. She received DST-INSPIRE fellowship for her Ph.D. programme. She started her career as Teaching Associate during Ph.D., then started working as Assistant Professor (Forestry) at Himgiri Zee University, Dehradun in 2017. Currently, she is working as Assistant Professor (Forest Products & Utilization) in College of Horticulture & Forestry, Jhalawar, Agriculture University, Kota, Rajasthan from 2018 onwards. She is actively engaged in teaching & research of UG & PG. Also, she is guiding PG students, actively engaged various extension activities of the College & KVK. She is also a life member of various agriculture societies. She authored 25 peer-reviewed research/review papers, and 03 practical manuals.

Rajneesh Kumar (Ph.D., Forestry), currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Forest Products, Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP).His main area of work includes teaching at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, besides research and extension in the field of forest products. He has his expertise in various fields viz., Resin Tapping Techniques, Wood Science & Technology and Agro-techniques of Medicinal and Aromatic plants, etc. He has standardized the Borehole Method of oleoresin tapping in Himalayan Blue Pine (Pinus wallichiana). He has guided 05 M.Sc. students besides handling Adhoc projects. He has published about 30 research papers and articles in different national and international journals,01 book chapter,01 Teaching/Practical manual,04 brochures/bulletins, etc. Presently he is engaged in the field of forestry and his main area of work includes teaching, research and extension.

Sneha Dobhal, has 7 years of teaching and research experience in the field of forestry. She graduated in biotechnology from Sardar Bhagwan Singh P.G.I. of Biomedical Science & Research, Dehradun in 2009, and did her post graduation from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun in 2011 and doctorate in Forestry from Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP). Currently, she is working as Assistant Professor (Forestry) in VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, College of Forestry, Ranichauri (Uttarakhand), India. She has also worked at ICAR: Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Dehradun as Junior Research Fellow (JRF). She has edited one book, and published 19 research publications in referred national and international journals. She has coordinated training on 'Remote Sensing and GIS Applications in Carbon Forestry' Conducted by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). She has also attended many trainings and workshops. She has won 2 national awards in conferences. She is reviewer member of current science journal (NAAS rating 6.84) and life member of International Journal of Farm Sciences having journal NAAS rating is 4.01.
