Kaoru Obata Editor

Takao Suami is a professor emeritus at Waseda University and an attorney at Atsumi & Sakai. He served as President of the Japanese Association of EU Studies (2013–2015) and of the Japan Association of International Economic Law (2018–2024). He is the editor of the volume, Global Constitutionalism from European and East Asian Perspectives (Cambridge University Press, 2018). Keisuke Kondo is Professor of Legal Philosophy at the Graduate School of Law, Kyoto University. He earned his LLB and LLM at Kyoto University and completed his LLD there in 2011. His research focuses on analytical jurisprudence, legal theory in a global context, and legal responses to emerging global challenges, including climate change and outer space activities. Kaoru Obata is Professor of International Law at Nagoya University (emeritus) and Kansai University (visiting). He studied law at Kyoto University (LL.B. and LL.M) and earned his LL.D. (Kyoto) in 2016. His main research fields include contemporary theories of international law in historical context and international human rights.
