Keith Gessen Editor, Translator & Author

Keith Gessen was born in Russia and raised in Massachusetts. A contributor to The New Yorker, TheNew York Times Book Review, and New Yorkmagazine, he is also a founding editor of the literary magazine n+1. He is the translator of the National Book Critics Circle Award-winning Voicesfrom Chernobyl, the forthcoming Penguin Classics edition of Ludmila Petruskevskaya's Scary Fairy Tales, and he wrote the introduction to the Penguin Classics edition of Mikhail Bulgakov's A Dead Man's Memoir. Gessen lives in Brooklyn, New York.
