Kirti Srivastava received Ph.D. (Geophysics) from Osmania University, in 1991 under the guidance of Dr V.P.Dimri, CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad, India and Post Doctoral from Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Temple University USA on Stochastic Differential Equations. She is retired Chief Scientist and was Head of Earth Process Modeling Group at CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute upto Jan 2022 and later Raja Ramanna Fellow of DAE (Department of Atomic Energy) at CSIR-NGRI, and presently she is WIDUSHI Fellow of DST Govt of India at CSIR-NGRI. Kirti Srivastava's research areas include Mathematical and Stochastic Modeling of non‐linear behavior of Earth’s System. She has carried out Tsunami Hazard studies for Kalpasar dam being proposed along the Gulf of Khambhat by the Gujarat Government. An impact study was carried out for tsunami-induced hydrodynamic forces on the proposed dam structure. She has carried out tsunami hazard due to Earthquakes, Landslides and Meteorite impact along the Indian coast. She has also carried out Tsunami hazard modeling at nuclear installations in India (for Atomic Energy Commission, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, BARC). Her work on basic research includes Quantification of accurate subsurface temperature, heat flow and rheological field along with uncertainties to decipher the thermal state of the crust in seismically active regions, lithospheric thicknesses from the thermal point of view for different terrains in the Indian shield and modeling 2D thermal state across seismic profiles in the India region. Also has worked on Stochastic nonlinear transient groundwater flow modeling for one and two-dimensional flow with uncertainties in sources and parameters and applied to quantify the state of the aquifers. Her PhD work is related to the development and application of seismic deconvolution techniques to offshore seismic data with special emphasis to time-varying deconvolution for removal of noise and multichannel Adaptive deconvolution technique developed for the removal of water bottom multiples keeping in view of stability and accuracy of the solution. She has several National and International publications, and 2 US Patents to her credit. She has guided 7 PhD students and 3 of them are pursuing their PhD under her guidance. She is the recipient of National Merit Scholarship in High School, the CSIR Young Scientist Award in 1995 and is a Fellow of the AP Academy of Sciences and Fellow of IGU. She was the Senate- Member National Institute of Technology (NIT-Warangal) Member of Management Council & Academic council of SRTM University Nanded, Maharashtra, Subject Expert of "Indo-US Fellowship for Women of DST, and is presently Member of Women Scientist Scheme, DST, Govt of India. She has served in different capacities in Vasavi Engineering College, Gokaraju Rangaraju Engineering college and Arora Colleges.

Mounica Jakkula received her Ph.D. from AcSIR (Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research), CSIR–National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad, in 2021, under the guidance of Dr. Kirti Srivastava, retired Chief Scientist, CSIR-NGRI. She holds an Integrated M.Sc. (5-year) in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from IIT Kanpur. Mounica Jakkula’s research areas include numerical and mathematical modeling of tsunami generation and propagation due to earthquakes and meteorite impacts. She has extensive experience with the TUNAMI-N2 code and has developed FORTRAN and MATLAB models for initial wave generation (meteorite impact), and estimation of tsunami-induced forces on coastal and offshore structures. She has contributed to tsunami hazard assessment studies for the Indian coastline, including the Kalpasar Project. She has published her research in national and international journals and has presented her work at several scientific conferences. She won the best paper award at 19th NSSS conducted by ISRO for her work on meteorite impact tsunamis. She is currently based in Munich, Germany. Experience in teaching a full semester course, Differential Geometry to Applied Mathematics MSc. 3rd semester students Dept. of Mathematics, University College of Science, Osmania University-2014. Using Adomian method of decomposition shehas solved different kind of equations like parabolic, hyperbolic non-linear and did a project under Dr Kirti Srivastava for her MSC Dissertation work on heat equation problems for the quantification of subsurface thermal structure. Her hobbies include Badminton, Dance, Fine Arts, High Altitude Trekking and Motor biking

V.P Dimri is the former President of the 36th International Geological Congress appointed by the Union Cabinet and Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in 2017. He was a Distinguished Scientist, at the CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad, India for 3 years (2010-2013) and INSA Senior Scientist for 3 years (2013-2016). He was Dr. Homi Bhabha Chair Professor at Central University of Hyderabad from Nov 2016 till he was appointed President, the 36th IGC. He served as the Director of the NGRI from October 2001 to February 2010. Also, she served as the Director, Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. He has more than 50 years vast experience and published 135 research publications in referred journals. He has authored and edited book by several internationally reputed publishing houses. He has produced nine PhD and guided many postdoctoral researchers. He was Project Leaders of many national and international projects and served many National and International committees as its Chairman and members. He has been conferred with the highest civilian award ‘Padma Shri’ by the Govt. of India in 2010. He delivered prestigious ‘Sir Axford Lecture’ in Asia Oceania Geosciences Society, Singapore and in the same year the other Axford lecture was delivered by the Nobel laureate Prof. Lee of Taiwan. He is first Asian to get Lorenz Award Lecture by American Geophysical Union in the field of non-linear geophysics. Among many other important awards conferred on him includes, Chatterjee award by Indian Science Congress, Outstanding Scientist Award by FAPCCI, Department of Ocean Development Award, National Mineral Award and National Geoscience Award by MoES, S & T Excellence Award DST, Uttarakhand. He has delivered Prof. K. Naha memorial medal lecture-2016, awarded by INSA, New Delhi. The R.C. Mishra Lifetime Achievement award was conferred to him in 2019. He is Fellow of many learned academies and societies among which few are: Third World Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Sciences, Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences, Founder Fellow, Telangana Academy of Sciences, Geological Society of India, and Honorary life fellow of Indian Society of Applied Geochemists. He was past President of Andhra Pradesh Akedemi of Sciences, Indian Geophysical Union. Currently, He is Honorary Scientist of INSA at CSIR-NGRI and President, Federation of Indian Geoscience Association. He stands among the top 100 great IITans dedicated to the service of our nation.
