Carissa Gordon Gump, MPA, OLY, is a 2008 Olympian in weightlifting and a respected leader in the strength and conditioning community. She is a member of both the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame and the New England Weightlifting Hall of Fame. Gordon Gump currently serves as the executive director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Foundation, where she supports research and education to advance the profession.

Paul Comfort, PhD, ASCC,PSCC, mISCP, CSCS,*D, FNSCA, is a full professor and the professorial lead in psychology and sport at the University of Salford in the United Kingdom and an adjunct professor at Edith Cowan University in Australia. A widely published researcher, Comfort specializes in strength and conditioning, the use of weightlifting to enhance performance, and applied sport science.

Kyle Pierce, EdD, ASCC, CSCS, is a full professor of public health and human performance at Louisiana State University at Shreveport, where he also directs the Human Performance Laboratory and Weightlifting Center. A highly regarded coach and educator, Pierce has brought his coaching expertise to athletes internationally, coaching the Ghana national weightlifting team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
