Laura Cronin Illustrator & Author

Laura Cronin completed her doctoral studies in the Department of History and Centre for Neo-Latin Studies at University College Cork, Ireland. Her historical research focuses on early modern medicine, the development of gynaecological knowledge, maternal physiology and the medical understanding of mental illness associated with childbirth. Her wider research interests include women's health and the history of medical thought.
