Lauren Jarvis is an editor, writer and photographer specialising in adventure, wildlife and conservation. She has travelled extensively in North America and across the world’s other six continents, taking on challenges including canoeing the Yukon River and trekking to Everest Base Camp. She is Travel Editor of Breathe magazine, the former Editorial Director of National Geographic Kids, a regular contributor to National Geographic, and co-author of the annual Visit USA Travel Planner. She is passionate about the planet’s wild places, and enjoys hiking and spending time in the woods.
