Lindsey E. Jorgensen, AuD, PhD, DF-AAA, is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky, where she teaches, conducts research, and provides clinical services focused on hearing aids, tinnitus, and hearing assistive technology. She also holds a clinical and research appointment at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. Dr. Jorgensen earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington before heading east to the University of Pittsburgh, where she completed both her AuD and PhD (and developed a lifelong appreciation for strong coffee and evidence-based practice). She currently serves on the Editorial Board of Seminars in Hearing and is a Section Editor for Journal of the American Academy of Audiology. When not thinking about real ear measures, verification, or personalized hearing aid outcomes, Lindsey can usually be found juggling academic life with parenting two children, Gunnar and Teagan, alongside her husband, Kyle, with varying levels of grace and a healthy sense of humor.
