Dr.-Ing. Nadja Oneschkow is senior researcher and deputy head of the Institute of Building Materials Science, Leibniz University Hannover since 2016. She was managing director of the DFG priority program SPP 2020 and supported the coordination activities. The creation of this book was mainly guided by her. The research of Nadja Oneschkow mainly focusses on long-term properties of concrete and mortar, such as the fatigue and creep behavior, to improve the design of structural elements. She published her scientific results in numerous peer-reviewed papers and is also a reviewer for various scientific journals. Furthermore, she is involved in further development of standards and guidelines in the field of concrete fatigue and beyond.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ludger Lohaus was head of the Institute of Building Materials Science, Leibniz University Hannover till 2020. He was one of the initiators of the DFG priority program SPP 2020 and, furthermore, the coordinator of this conjoint research project. Beneath the fatigue behavior of concrete and mortar, the research of Ludger Lohaus mainly focusses on fresh concrete properties and robustness of concrete compositions as well as on the properties of visual concrete surfaces. He devoted further research activities to topics such as grouted joints for offshore structures, concretes with reduced CO2 emissions, the durability of concrete, and structural elements made of UHPC.
