Luiz Santos is Professor of Veterinary Patient Safety and Human Factors at the University of Glasgow, where he combines frontline clinical practice with research into safety culture, human factors and organisational learning. A board-certified veterinary anaesthesiologist and Certified Professional in Patient Safety, he has worked in Brazil, the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom. His research focuses on how veterinary teams respond to error, learn from adverse events and support clinicians affected by them.
