Jennifer Gilpin Yacio is the president of Future Horizons, Inc and Sensory World. Ever since her little brother was diagnosed with autism in 1982, she has been interested in autism as well as how people are affected by their senses. With an extensive career in both the publishing and autism fields, I Have an Autism Boost is her second children's book. She lives in Arlington, Texas. Lynda Farrington Wilson is thrilled to now spend her days in the world of color, texture and pure whimsy by living her lifelong passion of writing and illustration. In her advocacy for children with special needs, Lynda has author/illustrated Squirmy Wormy, How I Learned to Help Myself and Autistic! How Silly is That? HerGiddy Granny series books, Butterfly Charlie and Chugga-Connor-Choo-Choo are zany, heart-warming adventures modeled after her adorable, spirited grandchildren. Lynda has illustrated over 70 children's books in her studio, The Lime Crab Cottage, located at the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. Temple Grandin earned her Ph.D. in animal science from the University of Illinois and is currently a Professor at Colorado State University. Dr. Grandin is one of the most respected individuals with high-functioning autism in the world. She presents at conferences nationwide, helping thousands of parents and professionals understand how to help individuals with autism, Asperger's syndrome, and PDD. She is the author of Emergence: Labeled Autistic, Thinking in Pictures, Animals in Translation (which spent many weeks on The New York Times Best-Seller List), The Autistic Brain, and The Loving Push, co-written with Debra Moore, Ph.D. One of the most celebrated—and effective—animal advocates on the planet, Dr. Grandin revolutionized animal movement systems and spearheaded reform of the quality of life for the world's agricultural animals.
