Marilisa Merolla is associate professor in Contemporary History at La Sapienza Università di Roma and New School, New York City, best known for her groundbreaking work on the impact of pop music on history. She is the founder and the director of "Music Making History Research Unit" which co-operates with several Universities throughout Europe and United States.
