Martin Sellner is an activist, author, and influential voice in contemporary debates on identity, free speech, and remigration policy. Born in Vienna in 1989 and raised in Lower Austria, Sellner studied law and philosophy (BA) at the University of Vienna and has become one of the most prominent figures of the New Right in the German-speaking world. Sellner gained public recognition as co-founder and spokesman of the Identitarian Movement Austria (IBÖ), organizing high-profile campaigns such as “Defend Europe” in the Mediterranean to draw attention to issues of mass immigration and Islamization. Prior to the 2020 deletion of his social media channels, he was the most-followed German-language patriotic influencer across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
